The NODE center will serve as a hub for a community of HSI-STEM researchers and practitioners focused on advancing knowledge, policy, and practice related to STEM equity. It will be a centralized resource for staying up to date on emerging information about HSI STEM projects. The center will host ongoing outreach activities such as trainings, webinars, and workshops, all aimed at supporting the evaluation efforts of NSF-HSI program grantees.
Our work is closely connected to the participation of current and potential NSF-HSI grantees. The grantees' involvement will speak to the success of NODE and our efforts to assess STEM education's current state and future in a way that reflects institutional diversity.
Meet with Dr. Michelle Burd, an expert evaluator with over 25 years of experience in NSF HSI and STEM education projects. Conversations could address evaluation plans, logic models, data collection and analysis, qualitative and quantitative methods, culturally responsive and equitable evaluation, relationships between PIs and evaluators, finding an evaluator and more!
Bring concerns, project stories and documents, etc. to problem-solve together.
Office hours are held by appointment. Please schedule a time on our
